ADMISSION

WEEKDAY (MON-FRI): $45 | WEEKEND (SAT-SUN), FEDERAL HOLIDAYS, and FAMILY DAYS: $55

General admission includes complimentary spa loungewear, a personal locker for shoes and belongings, as well as access to all open amenities. This includes 5 dry saunas, ice sauna, 4 soaking tubs, 1 steam room, toiletries, bathing area, towel, sleeping room, lounging area, & wifi.

+ ADMISSION POLICIES

  • All guests must purchase a general admission pass in order to enter
  • All guests are required to bring a physical government/state-issued photo ID at check-in
  • Guests are not required to make a reservations prior to their visit for general admission
  • Upon reaching maximum capacity, we reserve the right to instate a waitlist system for any incoming admissions. Any guests that have pre-booked service appointments will bypass the waitlist and enter the facility without delay. Failure to arrive within the allotted 15 minute time frame may result in delayed entry. Please click here to view further waitlist details.
  • Admission does not include any spa services or other purchases inside (e.g. food & beverages; retail items)
  • Guests who book/purchase a service appointment are still required to purchase a general admission pass.
  • There is no re-entry. You will not be able to re-enter once you exit the premises
  • Children under the age of 10 will not be admitted into the facility during regular business days.
  • Only on official Island Spa & Sauna Family Days will children of all ages be admitted | View Schedule
  • Children between the ages of 4 to 16 are admitted only when accompanied by a same sex guardian.
  • All guests, including transgender guests, have the right to access the spa in a manner consistent with their gender identity and gender expression.

SAUNAS

+ Sauna Safety

It is very easy to get lost in relaxation with our saunas, so be sure to keep these in mind the next time you #WannaSauna!

  • To reduce the risk of overheating, exit immediately if uncomfortable, dizzy, or sleepy.

  • Check with a doctor before use if pregnant, in poor health, or under medical care - the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene recommends that those who are pregnant, taking prescription drugs, or have poor health, have high blood pressure, heart disease, or circulatory disease should not use this facility before consulting their physician.

  • Breathing heated air in conjunction with consumption of alcohol, drugs, or medication may cause unconsciousness.

  • Use of steam room or sauna should not exceed 10 minutes, as excessive exposure may be harmful to health.

  • No mud, milk, oils, or skin exfoliation in saunas.

  • No nail clipping, oil use, and hair dying allowed.

BATHHOUSE

+ FACILITY POLICIES & ETIQUETTE

We have a body-positive and accepting environment; respect your fellow bather and help us to create a safe and welcoming environment for guests of all gender, race and body types. Island Spa & Sauna has the right to remove any guest found to be in violation of these policies. Thank you for your cooperation!

  • With commitment to the Korean Bathhouse culture, bathing suits and clothing are not allowed in the bathing area, guests must be fully nude.

  • All guests must shower before and after using the baths.

  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained or have incontinence symptoms.

  • Cell phone/electronic usage in the locker and bathing area is not permitted to ensure comfort and privacy of our guests. We reserve the right to check a guest’s devices and delete any media we may find taken in prohibited areas.

  • In the spirit of being a family-friendly facility, harassment of all kinds (verbal, physical, or sexual) are not tolerated.

  • All guests must respect the communal spa culture and return all towels and uniforms to the laundry bins.

  • Please do not use the baths if you are experiencing any of the following: active menstrual cycle, diarrhea, heart issues, severe hypertension, severe anemia, severe dermatological issues, or are in full-term pregnancy.

  • No nail clipping, oil use, and hair dying allowed.

  • Please throw out trash in designated waste bins.

  • Please adhere to quiet signs around the facility to ensure a relaxing experience for all guests.

  • Island Spa & Sauna uniforms must be worn and visible at all times in the common areas outside of the locker and baths.

  • Non-Island spa sleepwear, towels, blankets, and pillows are prohibited.

+ SPA SERVICE POLICIES

  • Services are not included with the admission (all guests are required to purchase a general admission pass if they plan to schedule a service)
  • All customers with a spa reservation must check-in 30 minutes prior to service time or Island Spa has the right to cancel the appointment.
  • All guests must fill out their service intake form prior to their appointment in order to receive their service. Service intake forms can be found in guests' appointment confirmation email or on QR codes found near our service departments in store.
  • All customers receiving a spa service have the right to stop their treatment 5 minutes into the service. However, dissatisfaction after the full service will not grant any refund. If dissatisfied, you must let us know within the 5 minute timeframe provided.
  • We strongly recommend making a prior reservation at least 3-5 days in advance for all service appointments. Walk-in appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
  • All service durations include preparation and change time.
  • Guests reserving multiple services in different departments (e.g. Massage & Facial, Massage & Body Scrub, or Body Scrub & Facial) are required to reserve a 30-minute customer recovery time when booking online.
  • Due to high risk, services for our pregnant guests are only allowed if they are within 13-36 weeks. Guests that are not within that range of pregnancy we cannot and do not recommend receiving services for their safety. The following services are currently available for our pregnant guests between 13-36 weeks. (listed below)

    • Foot Reflexology; Head and Scalp Massage; Quick Fix Facial; Aromatic Sugar Scrub; Sea Salt Glow; Body Scrub Regular; Body Scrub Plus; Prenatal Massage (Available Monday-Friday only)

SERVICE CANCELLATION POLICIES (listed below)

  • Service cancellations made over 12 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will receive no charge.
  • Service cancellations that are given less than 12 hours prior to scheduled appointments will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price for each service.
  • Failure to show up for scheduled appointments will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service price.

APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING POLICIES (listed below)

  • Guests will be permitted only 1 complimentary reschedule in the event that notice is given more than 12 hours prior to their scheduled appointment.
  • Guests are permitted 1 complimentary reschedule within 12 hours of the appointment if the appointment is within the same department only. (Changing departments within this timeframe will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.)
  • Rescheduling an appointment within 15 minutes of the designated start time will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.
  • Any appointments rescheduled from one department to another within 12 hours of the appointment's start time, such as changing an appointment from a body massage to a facial, will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.
  • Once rescheduled, the new appointment cannot be cancelled or otherwise altered in any way without incruing either a 25% charge of the reserved service price when notified beforehand or a 100% charge of the reserved service price upon failure to show up for the scheduled appointment. (To clarify, once an appointment is rescheduled in this way there will be no option for cancellation without a charge)
  • Guests who arrive late will be charged in full for their scheduled service but will receive an abbreviated prorated service. However, depending on the availability of services, guests who arrive late may be able to reschedule their service(s) to a later time.

FAMILY DAYS

The holidays are right around the corner! We want you & your family to celebrate with us here at Island Spa & Sauna! Family days are planned a year in advance and are the only times that kids under the age of 10 years old are allowed at the spa.

+ FAMILY DAY POLICIES

  • Minors between the ages of 4-16 are admitted only when accompanied by a same sex guardian

  • Groupons and admission discounts will NOT be accepted during federal holidays.

  • Infants that are 3 years old and under will have free admission. May go into the opposite gender locker room with their guardian

  • Minors who are not potty trained or experience incontinence symptoms are required to wear swim diapers inside the bath house

  • Guardians must sign a waiver form at the front desk for any minors.

+ General Policy

  • All expiration dates are final.
  • For the initial visit, all guests must provide a physical government-issued photo ID upon entry for security purposes. Subsequent visits will not require an ID for our returning guests' convenience.
  • We reserve the right to deny entrance to any persons with a contagious illness, skin conditions, or any conditions that make others uncomfortable and/or question Health Code regulations and cleanliness.
  • We reserve the right to ask customers to leave should they exhibit any form of inappropriate activity, unruly behavior, sexual misconduct, stalking, discrimination, physical violence, profanity, or verbal harassment towards other guests and/or employees.
  • No outside food or drinks are allowed into the facility. However, clear non-alcoholic liquids are allowed in sealable, shatterproof containers.
  • Inappropriate, hazardous, and/or illegal materials, and weapons are prohibited.
  • Smoking marijuana, tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce vapor or smoke is not allowed inside the facility.
  • We reserve the right to refuse the admission of or eject those who are under the influence or who have any condition that poses a threat to the health or safety of themselves and/or others.
  • We reserve the right to inspect any personal belongings, bags, containers, cases etc. upon entering or leaving the facility.
  • Elderly persons or persons with heart complications, diabetes, high or low blood pressure, or on heavy medication will not be permitted in high-temperature areas (wet/dry) without signing a waiver form at the front desk or having medical consultation and approval.
  • Keep an eye on your personal property at all times. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
  • Lost and found items will only be held for 30 days.
  • Island Spa gift cards cannot be used to purchase gift cards and any admission or service pass packages.
  • If a locker key is lost, there will be a $25.00 fee charged for each key.
  • We reserve the right to impose a surcharge for credit card payments no greater than our cost of acceptance.

+ Admission Pass Policy

  • Any and all physical and online admission passes expire the date that is printed on the pass, with no exceptions UNLESS they are part of 10-packs of admission passes. Expired 10-pack admission passes will have an upcharge applied to them which is the difference of the current pass price and the admission price for that day.

  • Any regular admission tickets past their expiration date may be used after paying an upcharge to match the current day's admission price. This upcharge does not apply to complimentary admission tickets received via special promotions or events that have expired. All expiration dates on complimentary admission tickets are final. (Starting January 6th, 2020)

  • All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Tickets do not have any monetary value in-store and cannot be combined with other offers/specials.

  • All tickets are for general admission only. All services are not included and must be paid separately.

  • The barcode must be scannable in order to be redeemed.

  • Applicable every day the facility is open.

+ Commitment to Safety and Respect

  • Our business is committed to protecting the safety of all guests utilizing our nude bathhouse and gendered locker rooms. Staff of the same gender will be present in these areas and patrol these areas frequently to uphold our safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards.

    • CPR/First Aid/AED Certified Personnel will be stationed within the bathhouse to further provide a safe and secure environment for relaxation.
  • All guests have the right to access the locker room, bathhouse, and restrooms in a manner consistent with their gender identity and gender expression. If you identify with a gender that is not represented on your identification, please let us know at check-in so that we may direct you to the desired areas.

    • Guests will not be permitted to alternate between our gendered locker rooms and bathhouse within the same stay.
  • We expect all guests to show respect for others so that all may have a peaceful and pleasant experience.

    • Disruptive guests will be issued a warning by management. Continued disruptive behavior or ignorance towards our staff will result in immediate ejection without refund.
      • Disruptive behavior includes but is not limited to: wearing footwear inside the facility, not respecting quiet volume areas, excessive staring, phone usage inside locker room and bathhouse areas, improper disposal of personal items.
  • Guests that violate N.J.S.A. 2C: 14-4 will be subject to immediate expulsion and banning from the facility and law enforcement may be contacted to conduct a report.

    • All bans are permanent and attempts to return will be considered trespassing.

+ Returns & Refunds

  • All admission, product and service sales are final. Any dissatisfaction after a service will not be honored or lead to any refund whatsoever. If dissatisfied with a service, you must notify us within the first 10 minutes of the service.

  • Additional non-returnable items include: gift cards, admission and service passes, online specials, health and personal care retail products, food and beverages

  • If a credit or a refund for something other than the above was issued and you haven't received it yet, please wait 5-7 days. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you have done this and still haven't seen your refund, please email info@islandspasauna.com .
